Youth Substance Use Disorder Treatment Inpatient Unit

Our inpatient unit offers interdisciplinary specialized assessment and treatment for patients with substance use and addiction issues, primarily aged 18 to 28. We provide a differentiated and individually tailored treatment program with a focus on physical, mental, social, and environmental therapy. Our intake area includes the entire population of Oslo, except for the districts of Grorud, Stovner, and Alna.

The unit operates according to recognized methods for the assessment and treatment of substance addiction, concurrent mental disorders, and other complex difficulties.

With us, you will find a safe and supportive environment with staff available around the clock. Here, we have nurses, social workers, psychologists, doctors, child welfare educators, and special educators who work with you on how to manage your substance addiction. We focus on how you can cope and improve various areas of your life. We offer a tailored and individually adapted assessment and treatment that includes group therapy, physical activity, activities, and individual conversations.
Together, we create a treatment plan based on your goals and wishes. All patients are offered an assessment for substance addiction and concurrent mental difficulties. We further map your social circumstances and create a follow-up plan.

​Kollektivtrafikk til Gaustad sykehus

Det går både trikk, buss og T-bane til Rikshospitalet.

Trikken stopper rett utenfor Rikshospitalets hovedinnganger. Derfra er det ca. 8 minutters gange til Gaustad sykehus.  

Bussen stopper på Ring 3. Derfra er er det ca. 15 minutters gange til Gaustad sykehus.

T-banen stopper på Forskningsparken og Gaustad. Derfra er det hhv ca. 10 og 15 minutters gange til Gaustad sykehus.

General information

Café Årstidene er et spisested for pasienter, ansatte og andre gjester. Kaféen er arbeidstreningssted for pasienter på sykehuset og en del av det ergoterapeutiske behandlings- og rehabiliteringstilbudet ved OUS, Klinikk psykisk helse og avhengighet.

Åpningstider​​​​

Tirsdag til torsdag kl. 11.00 til 13.00.

På mandag og fredag holder kaféen stengt.

The hospital provides qualified interpreters for patients who do not speak Norwegian. Interpreting services are free of charge for patients. Relatives must not act as interpreters at the hospital.

Sengepostene har trådløst nettverk. Du kan ta med egen PC og mobiltelefon.

Alle pasienter på sykehuset har krav på privatlivets fred. Vis hensyn ved å ikke ta bilder, film eller omtale andre i sosiale medier uten å spørre dem først.

Husk at det er helt i orden å si nei om du skulle bli spurt.

Vi ber om at pasientene i størst mulig utstrekning ikke tar med seg verdisaker ved planlagt innleggelse. 

Mindre verdisaker som lommebok, kontanter, smykker og nøkler kan sykehuset oppbevare i en verdipose i et spesialsikret rom. Verdisakene leveres inn ved innleggelse og utleveres ved utskrivning.

Større ting må oppbevares på post eller overleveres pårørende.
