Section for Emergency Services and Detoxification

Section for Emergency Services and Detoxification is tasked with ensuring accessible and comprehensive acute services, as well as providing planned admissions for patients in need of detoxification. We offer services to patients with all forms of substance-related problems, injuries, and disorders. Our catchment area includes the entire population of Oslo, with the exception of the districts of Grorud, Stovner, and Alna.

The section has three inpatient units staffed with interdisciplinary medical professionals (nurses, doctors, special educators, and health care workers), as well as psychological and social expertise.

The section's acute operations consist of a 24/7 Substance Abuse Emergency Reception where patients receive an assessment of their acute situation and have 13 observation beds. Additionally, the section has two detoxification units with a total of 27 beds for planned admissions for detoxification from legal and illegal substances, as well as for retention under the Health and Care Services Act Chapter 10.

We know that often more people are affected when an individual develops a substance use disorder. It can be difficult to know what relatives can do and how to get the help they need. We provide general information and support and help find good supporters for relatives in the process. We also provide information to children and young people who are relatives when needed. All our units have staff responsible for children.

The section is led by Bengt Erik Antell.

You have the right to receive information about your health, illness and treatment in a language you understand. As a patient with a limited knowledge of Norwegian, you are entitled to an interpreter in your preferred language.

Du finner apoteket på hjørnet av bygget til legevakten i Trondheimsveien 233. 

Apoteket er døgnåpne 365 dager i året. 

​På sykehusapoteket får du kjøpt det du trenger under sykehusoppholdet og ved utskrivning. Apoteket har tett samarbeid med sykehuset og tilpasser sortimentet etter våre anbefalinger. Deres ansatte har høy faglig kompetanse og kan gi deg gode råd om bruk av dine legemidler og andre produkter. Hos sykehusapoteket kan du hente ut alle dine resepter, også fra din fastlege.

Det er dessverre ingen blomsterbutikk på Aker sykehus lenger.

Det er tilgang til datamaskin med internettilgang hos Lærings- og mestringssenteret på Aker bygg 41. I hovedbygget finnes det ikke internetttilgang for pasienter.

Due to ongoing construction and excavation work at Aker Hospital, the number of parking spaces will be reduced.

There is still good parking capacity in the area, but you should expect slightly longer walking distances. Reserved spaces for people with reduced mobility (free of charge) are available near all entrances.

All changes and closures will be clearly marked with temporary signs and reflective tape.

Visitor parking spaces have been established outside the main entrance and down towards the tent used by the park department. In addition, there are visitor spaces outside the entrances to Building 2, Building 6, and Building 8. Reserved spaces for people with reduced mobility (free of charge) are available near all entrances.

Parking at Aker Hospital is subject to a fee. Charges apply 24 hours a day, every day. See payment information below.

Payment Options

The hospital offers outdoor parking at all treatment locations. You can choose to pay by card, coins, or via EasyPark’s mobile solution.

The hospital recommends that those parking outdoors use post-payment or mobile payment, as it can be difficult to estimate the duration of a hospital visit.

Post-payment

With post-payment, you can use a payment card (e.g. VISA) to reserve an amount at the parking machine. Any unused amount will be refunded.

  1. Insert your payment card into the parking machine.
  2. Reserve an amount.
  3. When your visit ends, insert the same card into the same machine to log out.

The advantage of this system is that you avoid overpaying or risking your parking time expiring due to delays.

Parking time can be purchased at the machine or via the EasyPark app (EasyPark adds a 15% surcharge for app use).

Vi ber om at pasientene i størst mulig utstrekning ikke tar med seg verdisaker ved planlagt innleggelse. 

Mindre verdisaker som lommebok, kontanter, smykker og nøkler kan sykehuset oppbevare i en verdipose i et spesialsikret rom. Verdisakene leveres inn ved innleggelse og utleveres ved utskrivning.

Større ting må oppbevares på post eller overleveres pårørende.
