Kreftlex helps people affected by cancer develop a clearer understanding of the illness and the different treatment approaches. By explaining complicated medical information in a clear and understandable way, it helps patients prepare for conversations with the healthcare team and take part in the difficult decisions that may arise during diagnosis and treatment.

As an accessible resource for reliable information about cancer and cancer treatment in Norway, Kreftlex offers a well‑illustrated knowledge platform designed for patients and the general public. It provides insight and understanding that can make a meaningful difference during a challenging time.
 
Kreftlex is developed and quality‑assured in collaboration with clinical specialists at Oslo University Hospital and is written in accordance with approved medical and professional standards. The initiative and editorial responsibility lie with the Institute for Cancer Genetics and Informatics (ICGI) at the Cancer Clinic, Oslo University Hospital. The Editor‑in‑Chief is Sigbjørn Smeland, Clinic Director at the Clinic of Cancer Medicine, Oslo University Hospital.

What is Kreftlex?

Cancer can create major challenges—physically, psychologically, practically and socially. Kreftlex aims to support patients, relatives and others seeking knowledge by offering information and guidance that may be helpful before, during and after treatment.
