EUnetCCC

EUnetCCC aims to improve cancer care in Europe and ensure that all Europeans have access to equally good treatment, regardless of which country they live in. The project spans a period of four years, from October 2024 to September 2028, and has 163 partners from 31 different countries in Europe.

The Institute for Cancer genetics (ICGI) and Informatics role in the project

ICGI was initially asked to develop various web-based tools for Work package 8 (Development and Implementation of Network Activities). However, the scope of the assignment has expanded, and ICGI has taken responsibility for developing and implementing a portal solution for the entire EUnetCCC. The portal serves as a core platform to support CCC partners, particularly in areas such as collaboration and certification. It was launched in May 2026, and further development is ongoing.

At ICGI, the project is handled by a development team of four developers (including one part-time) and a coordinator. The team works closely with the Unit for European Cancer Cooperation at OUS, as well as several groups across CCC units throughout Europe.
