Section for Patient Referral and Analysis

Department of Substance Use Disorder Treatment at Oslo University Hospital HF is primarily responsible for interdisciplinary specialized substance treatment (TSB) for the entire population of Oslo, with the exception of the districts of Grorud, Stovner, and Alna. The Section for Patient Referral and Analysis is responsible for the case processing and rights assessment of all received referrals for detoxification, outpatient care—including Medication-Assisted Rehabilitation (LAR)—and inpatient treatment in the Department of Substance Abuse and Addiction Treatment. Additionally, the section will provide information on patient flow and activity data for TSB.

The Section for Patient Referral and Analysis also has coordination responsibility for patients from its own catchment area in Oslo who are referred for inpatient treatment in public and private facilities. In addition, we are tasked with processing referrals for patients outside our own catchment area. Furthermore, the section is responsible for organizing and coordinating placements according to the Health and Care Services Act, Chapter 10 (coercion in TSB).

The Section for Patient Referral and Analysis focuses on quality in registration and compiles patient data from the patient administrative system and public health data.

General information

The hospital provides qualified interpreters for patients who do not speak Norwegian. Interpreting services are free of charge for patients. Relatives must not act as interpreters at the hospital.

Alle pasienter på sykehuset har krav på privatlivets fred. Vis hensyn ved å ikke ta bilder, film eller omtale andre i sosiale medier uten å spørre dem først.

Husk at det er helt i orden å si nei om du skulle bli spurt.

Vi ber om at pasientene i størst mulig utstrekning ikke tar med seg verdisaker ved planlagt innleggelse. 

Mindre verdisaker som lommebok, kontanter, smykker og nøkler kan sykehuset oppbevare i en verdipose i et spesialsikret rom. Verdisakene leveres inn ved innleggelse og utleveres ved utskrivning.

Større ting må oppbevares på post eller overleveres pårørende.
