ProCardio SFI - a leading Centre for Research-based Innovation - is looking for a researcher to shape the future of cardiology. A pivotal role in a leading research centre
ProCardio SFI (2020–2028) brings together top expertise in cardiology, technology, data science and industry collaboration. With approximately 50 scientific publications annually and strong clinical integration, the centre is at the forefront of developing new methods for diagnosing, treating and monitoring heart disease.
As the centre enters the final phase of its current funding period, the successful candidate will contribute to completing and showcasing key research outputs, while also helping to shape the next generation of projects and funding applications.
Bridging clinical practice, research and technology
Based at Domus Medica and affiliated with Oslo University Hospital, Rikshospitalet, the position offers a dynamic setting where clinical insight is closely integrated with cutting-edge research and innovation. In this role, you will contribute to the development of research within cardiology and digital health, following projects from early stages through to publication. You will work with advanced clinical data, including registries, medical imaging and sensor-based sources, while helping to ensure strong clinical anchoring in interdisciplinary innovation projects.
The position also involves contributing to the development of new research initiatives and funding applications, as well as communicating results through scientific and professional channels. In addition, you will play an important role in supporting and mentoring PhD candidates, students and early-career researchers.

Who should apply?
We are looking for a medical doctor with a PhD in cardiology or a related field, combined with clinical experience in cardiology and a solid track record in research and publications. Experience with clinical studies, registry-based research or advanced data analysis is an advantage, as is familiarity with research funding applications. An interest in digital health, innovation and new models of care will also be highly valued.
