On May 21st, the Innovation and Research Department at Telemark Hospital hosted an open research evening for the public on the occasion of International Clinical Trials Day. The EU-funded MyPath project and the national initiative MyPath-MATRIX were presented through lectures and stands.
MyPath is a five-year research and implementation project (2022-2027) aimed at improving cancer treatment by offering a solution for digital patient reporting and individualized follow-up plans based on existing guidelines for symptom relief. The goal is to systematically map patients' symptoms and functions digitally, allowing patients to report their condition from home before coming to the hospital for treatment. Telemark Hospital is one of three MATRIX-affiliated hospitals participating in the development and implementation of the digital MyPath tool, which focuses on patient needs. The tool is expected to be used at Telemark Hospital soon. Oslo University Hospital and Ålesund Hospital are also involved from Norway, along with nine European hospitals. The technological development is led by the Norwegian tech company DNV Imatis, in close collaboration with industry partners and patient organizations
